The Longleat Festival of Light 2025 at the popular Safari Park in Wiltshire has its ever-popular Christmas celebration, the impressive illuminated light trail, but this year there is unique twist and a world first.

That’s because Longleat will make history by showcasing the much-loved Wallace & Gromit in spectacular lantern displays – a global first for the award-winning characters.

Created by the animation firm Aardman, these illuminated figures will anchor the British Icons theme at The Festival of Light.

Visitors to Longleat can look forward to seeing favourite characters including Shaun the Sheep, the notorious Feathers McGraw, and Morph brought to life in luminous form.

The display will recreate iconic Aardman locations like Mossy Bottom Farm and West Wallaby Street, offering fans an immersive journey through the studio’s most cherished moments.

A grand day out

Longleat’s Head of Operations, Scott Ashman, said: “We are delighted to be working with Aardman for The Festival of Light 2025 – and we are confident, as Wallace would say to Gromit, that it will be ‘A grand day out’.

“And of course, cheese will play a part too!”
